Cold Insulation
Sub-ambient insulation preventing condensation and energy loss
Overview
Cold insulation keeps heat out of sub-ambient systems and prevents condensation forming on cold surfaces. A continuous vapour barrier is critical — any moisture ingress destroys thermal performance and causes corrosion. Max Insulation installs multi-layer cold systems using PUF, nitrile rubber, and EPS with sealed vapour barriers.
How we do it
Condensation risk assessment
We calculate dew point and required thickness to guarantee zero surface condensation across all conditions.
Vapour barrier design
A continuous sealed vapour barrier is specified to keep moisture out of the insulation layer.
Multi-layer application
Insulation is applied in staggered layers with sealed joints to eliminate thermal bridges.
Sealing & cladding
Vapour stops and cladding are installed to lock in performance and protect against mechanical damage.
Why choose Max Insulation
- Eliminates surface condensation
- Prevents corrosion under insulation
- Reduces refrigeration energy loss
- Long-term vapour barrier integrity
